Engineer was there at the agreed time and completed his work in good time. He removed the old gas heater, cleaned the chimney and secured the gas conduct. He advised that I could keep the chimney as it was and that blocking the conduct won't be needed but I found otherwise when I tried to clean it up some more after he left. Bucket of soot kept on falling and the chimney will definitely required to be blocked.
The work agreed for initially was completed with satisfaction. The person was efficient and pleasant but I cannot agree with his advise.
