What Does a Boiler Fault Code Mean?

A boiler fault code is a combination of letters, numbers or symbols displayed when your boiler detects a problem.

The exact meaning depends on the boiler manufacturer and model. A code may indicate something relatively simple, such as low system pressure, or a fault involving ignition, circulation, sensors, overheating or another internal component.

Some faults can be resolved with a safe homeowner check, while others require a Gas Safe registered engineer.
